Scott Transformer is a kind of transformer that changes three phase into two phase. The structural capacity of low voltage winding is the same with the same capacity's two common single phase transformer.

Scott Transformer is usually formed by two single phase transformers. To make one transformer's terminal of high-voltage winding connect another transformer's centre of high- voltage winding, Scott Transformer will form a "T" type three-phase high voltage winding. Every low voltage winding is simple single winding and there is no electric connection between them. Their voltage and current are the same with those of common single phase transformers, but every high voltage winding and current are different with those of common single phase transformer.
